We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

  • Younger users require verified parental consent
  • We never publicly display real names, email addresses, or precise locations
  • All users are identified by randomly generated display names
  • Parent/guardian email is required for minor accounts and is used solely for account management
  • Photos are reviewed by moderators before publication
  • Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time

  • To display sighting information to other users (using display names only)
  • To calculate points and leaderboard rankings

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard hashing. Photos are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls.

  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
